Chelsea Clinton Tells Ellen Why Hillary Should Be The Next President

"I didn’t know that I could love and admire and respect my mom any more, until I became a mom."

Chelsea Clinton is now a mom. And that's given her new perspective on her own mother, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

"I didn’t know that I could love and admire and respect my mom any more, until I became a mom. And [I] couldn’t believe any more in her as the right leader for the country I want my daughter to grow up in," she told TV host Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday.

Hillary "keeps going because there’s so much unfinished business to ensure that every little girl and every little boy has the chance to live up to their God-given potential," she added.

The former secretary of state has been busy campaigning across the country. She even made a guest appearance on the season opener of "Saturday Night Live" last week, playing a bartender who was offering advice to Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton.

"I think my mom is really funny. And I'm grateful that America is seeing more of that!" Chelsea said. "I won the mom jackpot."

DeGeneres also broached the subject of Chelsea's own political future.

"The first time that someone asked me whether I would have a political career, I think I was about three," Chelsea said. "Now that I’m at a different point in my life, I do believe there are many ways to serve."
