Military Dad Surprises Family In Heartwarming Football Field Reunion

Grab some tissues.

Fans took in more than just football at a game between the Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels when they witnessed a heartfelt family reunion.

According to a video posted by the Florida Gators, Chief Warrant Officer Kristian Denkins from Gainesville, Fla., had completed his fifth tour in Afghanistan before surprising his family at the game on Oct. 3. His kids initially thought they were only getting a message from their dad on the Jumbotron.

"To my wife, my children, my mother and father, I miss you, I love you and I'll be home soon, I promise," he said in his video message.

Seconds later, Denkins ran down the field and reunited with his family. His big surprise came with a group hug, a roar of cheers from the crowd and a whole lot of happy tears.

What a heartwarming welcome.
