Sofia Vergara Slams Radio Show Claiming 'Rumors' She Might Be One Of Bill Cosby's Victims

"Respeten a la gente. Dejen de inventar bobadas."

Sofia Vergara fired back at a radio show that suggested it was "rumored" the actress might have been one of Bill Cosby's victims. The claim was made via Twitter in connection to a video of the comedian interviewing the "Modern Family" star more than a decade ago. The 78-year-old actor has now been accused of sexually assaulting over 50 women.

During a 2003 promotional tour for her film "Chasing Papi," Vergara appeared on "The Late Show" when Cosby was guest-hosting the show. After a video of their conversation recently resurfaced, several sites called the interaction "creepy" and "cringe-worthy" given the number of allegations against Cosby that have since come to light.

Vergara had made no comment regarding the interview's resurgence until a Florida-based celebrity news radio show, En Candela, tweeted out the following:

"A video of an interview of Bill Cosby and a young Sofia Vergara came out. It's rumored if she could've been one of his victims," the tweet read in Spanish.

The radio show, owned by Entravision and airing on Salsa 98.1 FM, did not refer to a specific source of the supposed rumors or provide any indication of where the alleged speculation was taking place.

The "Modern Family" star replied to the tweet in Spanish, saying:

"Respect people. Stop making up nonsense," Vergara tweeted.

Last week two more women joined the more than 50 who have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct and assault, Reuters reports. The 78-year-old actor has denied all allegations and has not been criminally charged.
