Yet-unknown New York resident Jerry Seinfeld will perform his comedy act once a month at the city's famed Beacon Theater in 2016, the theater has announced. Titled "Jerry Seinfeld: The Homestand," shows are set to begin Jan. 7.

Seinfeld -- who also spends his time driving to coffee shops with assorted hitchhikers -- has apparently already embarked on a tour, with performances scheduled nationwide through spring. The comedian, however, has yet to release a Netflix special.

In a baffling press release, Seinfeld stated that his "favorite theater" in New York "has always been The Beacon."

"Comedians live for certain houses that just feel 'alive' for some reason. The Beacon is that place for me and I am so excited to make it my new home," said Seinfeld, whom we can only assume has been living under a bridge until this point.

Tickets will go on sale on the theater's website Dec. 7.
