Donald Trump's Campaign Slogan Just Got A Gay Makeover

Now here's a catch phrase we can get behind.

Donald Trump is about to get a very big (and very gay) surprise.

The Republican presidential hopeful has been running for election with the slogan "Make America Great Again," which he's famously worn on baseball caps. Now that catch phrase has been re-purposed by one of the nation's leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) advocacy groups.

The Washington, D.C.-based Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is now selling hats printed with the slogan "Make America Gay Again" and "Make America LGBTQ again," and officials say they've become instant bestsellers.

The hat is described on the official HRC website as "a friendly reminder" to voters that the U.S. should be "a place of equality, liberty and justice for all."

"We wanted to capture the energy and excitement of our supporters and get people talking about electing a champion for LGBT equality next year," Human Rights Campaign Creative Director Don Kiser told The Huffington Post. "And a fun cap never hurts."

There's no telling how Trump, 69, could react to the pro-LGBT spin on his campaign slogan. Still, given the billionaire's well-established opposition to marriage equality, we'd love to catch the look on his face when he sees the caps for the first time.
