New York Daily News Publishes Massive 'Star Wars' Spoiler (Don't Worry, It's Not In Here)

This edition of the Daily News is bantha poodoo.

Don't pick up Wednesday's edition of the New York Daily News -- IT'S A TRAP!

We're not going to spoil "The Force Awakens" for you, but Max Garcia, whose web comic strip "Sunny Street" appears under the name "Between The Lines" in the New York Daily News, certainly tried.

Today's version of his strip, appearing only in the Daily News and on his website, contains a massive spoiler for the new "Star Wars" film. It's game-changing enough that we can't talk about it anymore.

Garcia, armed with an apparent disregard for the light side of the force, also tweeted the spoiler in very plain terms so that there was no confusion. We find his lack of faith disturbing.

Garcia and the Daily News didn't return repeated calls for comment on Wednesday. It's unclear whether the Daily News' posting of Garcia's strip was simply an egregious oversight. Its previous coverage of the film hasn't contained any spoilers.

HuffPost's own Matthew Jacobs, who reviewed the film that drops on Friday, confirmed the spoiler.

If you absolutely have to see Garcia's dirty deed -- one that "Star Wars" fans have been waiting for since the most recent quality installment in 1983 -- we'll leave a link to a photo of the comic strip below.

So many questions remain: Will Garcia keep his job? Why has he gone rogue? Is there any common decency left in this world?
