This Husband Made His Wife's Dream Of A White Christmas Come True

Husband of the year!

Step aside, Santa Claus: A husband by the name of Trevor Smithson just put your gift-giving skills to shame.

In spite of the record-high temperatures in Richmond, Virginia on Christmas Day, Trevor -- who does special effects for entertainment -- surprised his wife Kourtney with the white Christmas she always dreamed of. Using fake snow made out of a mixture of soap, water and air, he created a veritable winter wonderland in the 75-degree weather.

Kourtney, a wedding photographer, told The Huffington Post that Trevor has always been creative with his gifts, but that this one took the cake.

"I really can't remember a time in my life that I had snow on Christmas Day," she said. "I made that comment to Trevor a few weeks ago, about how that was all I wanted for Christmas. He didn't give me much of a reaction at the time, so I was pretty shocked on Christmas morning when he called me outside and started blowing snow all over our yard and house. I started crying. Best gift I've ever had."

"It's really overwhelming to feel that much love from someone," she added.

Friends, family and passersby stopped to play in the "snow" and make snow angels and snowballs.

The couple, who has been together for two years, eloped in September 2015 and then hosted a surprise wedding in October to celebrate with their family and friends.

Stay tuned, because next Christmas, Kourtney said she hopes to return the favor.

"I'm going to try and top his gift next year!" she said.
