Police are searching for two convicted robbers who escaped from a Kentucky prison on Monday night.
Jordan Green, 24, and Waltez Franklin, 23, reportedly "walked away" from the minimum-security Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington, according to WTVQ.
Almost half of the 59 prison escapes reported in the state of Kentucky in the five years to July 2015 were from the Blackburn Correctional Complex, the Lexington Herald Leader reported.
They latest prisoners to escape were reported missing just after 8 p.m. Kentucky State Police issued appeals to trace the convicts on its social media pages.
Green, who would have been eligible for parole in October 2017, is serving a 28-year sentence for robbery and burglary. He is described as white with brown hair and brown eyes, 5-foot-9 and weighing 167 pounds.
Franklin, whose parole board date comes up in April 2018, is serving a 20-year sentence for robbery and assault. He is described as black with black hair and brown eyes, 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds.
Another prisoner, Robert Vick, fled from the facility last January -- but he turned himself in soon after because it was too cold, The Associated Press reports.
