Obama Shares The Greatest Memory Of His Presidency

The moment has been called a B.F.D.

President Barack Obama said on Thursday that the best memory of his presidency was when he stood on the Truman balcony with White House staffers the night the Affordable Care Act passed Congress.

Asked what the greatest memory of his presidency was during a Twitter town hall on Thursday, the president described the scene.

White House photographer Pete Souza captured the moment on March, 21 2010, the day that the final version of the bill passed the Senate.

Even though the uninsured rate has plummeted since the law was passed, Republicans are still trying to repeal key parts of the law. Obama vetoed the first such effort to reach his desk last week.
