Most would say the Craigle family was lucky to win 50 free tickets to Super Bowl 50. But those who know them would say it was karma.
Bill Craigle -- who won the tickets from Marriott Rewards’ #50to50 sweepstakes -- received heartbreaking news in 2004. Doctors discovered that his son, Will, had a brain tumor.
Bill was able to get Will treatment at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, but Bill and his immediate family lived in upstate New York. The trek was costly and draining.
That’s when the rest of the rest of the Craigles swooped in and acted as a rock during his family’s hard time.
“I had a sister that gave up all her airline miles so we could fly home every weekend,” Bill’s wife said, trying to hold back tears in the touching video above.
For the past 12 years Bill, his wife and two sons have been trying to figure out how to express their gratitude towards their loving family -- and on Dec. 15, they finally got their chance to pay it forward.
