Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton appeared in front of the microphone for his exit interview on Tuesday morning -- the first time he has spoken to the press since his abbreviated Super Bowl presser on Sunday.
In the interview, Newton did not express any regrets or apologize for his decision to leave the aforementioned presser a few minutes after it started. But he also acknowledged that he does not handle losing all that well.
"I've been on record to say I'm a sore loser," Newton said. "Who likes to lose? You show me a good loser, and I'ma show you a loser."
The MVP winner also said that he was not going to change himself or his personality to appease people.
Along with questions about his Sunday press conference, Newton was asked why he didn't dive on the ball during a critical fumble that occurred late in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.
The 26-year-old responded that he didn't want to risk a possible leg injury by having to make an awkward dive at the ball.
Newton received support and cheers of "Hurray for Cam!" from his teammates toward the end of his interaction with the reporters.
