Jaden Smith has a dream, and it's a big one.
The "Fresh Prince of the Future" covers the Spring/Summer issue of British GQ Style, in which he fully articulates the reasoning behind his clothing choices and puts forth his vision for a better world.
"I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms" he told British GQ Style in an exclusive interview. "I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it, I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction. I don’t see man clothes and woman clothes, I just see scared people and comfortable people."
Smith has been giving the middle finger to gender norms since he was 16 years old. He became the face of Louis Vuitton's womenswear campaign in 2016 and now he's ready to start a non-binary revolution. Where do we enlist?
"I’m really working towards just fixing the whole planet Earth," he explained. "I really just want to create a utopia on this planet. I really want to make it so that people don’t have to die to pay bills and just work to survive. So that they can work to actually live and do the things that they love to do.”
And he sees himself as a catalyst for this change, not so humbly describing the power he has over those he comes in contact with like, oh, the Kardashians.
"I think I’m just a really big influence on anybody that I’m around, and I feel like that’s why it’s good for me to hang out with all types of different people," he responded when asked about his relationship with the famous family.
But in case you were worried that world peace was too big a task for just one teenager, Jaden's sister, Willow, is basically his other half.
"I’d say it’s like full-on sibling brain connection," he revealed. "I’d say that she’s definitely the female version of me, 100 percent, in every single way. And I’d say I’m the male version of her.”
