Sorry Donald, Women #WontBePunished For Seeking Abortions

"Every woman deserves access to health care."

On Wednesday, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told MSNBC that "there has to be some sort of punishment" for women who have abortions. In response to Trump's ludicrous and draconian anti-abortion sentiment -- and the anti-abortion views of Ted Cruz and John Kasich, the other two remaining GOP presidential candidates -- NARAL Pro-Choice America started the hashtag #WontBePunished with the following tweet:

Binders full of women -- and even some particularly engaged men! -- began using the hashtag to tweet their own stories, experiences and opinions:

The hashtag gave people an opportunity to unite in their refusal to be shamed or penalized for accessing health care. (Health care the Supreme Court has guaranteed women the right to access.)

"Anti-choice politicians like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, and the anti-choice movement at large, need to know that women won't be silenced by policies or rhetoric that interfere with our ability to make our own choices about our health care," Kaylie Hanson, National Communications Director for NARAL, told Cosmopolitan.com.

We'll go ahead and let Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton have the last word on the matter:

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
