This Simple Yoga Sequence Helps Relieve The Pain From Sitting All Day

You owe yourself these soothing stretches.

If you sit at a desk for the majority of your working hours, chances are you experience upper body pain, whether you're fully aware of it or not. Since the average American worker sits for an estimated 13 hours each day (!), it makes sense that a lot of us feel this physical tension.

While you may feel unable to escape your desk chair as often as you'd like, the good news is that there's a yoga sequence that can help undo the damages of a long day on the job. As you'll see in Udaya's video above, instructor Caley Alyssa demonstrates a simple sequence in which the upper body is addressed. Positions like Eagle and and several light yoga stretches can help provide your limbs with more range of motion and relieve stress, to boot.

Check out the moves above, and try them out for yourself when you get home from work. In just five minutes, you'll feel much more at ease.
