Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are the male and female versions of America's Sweetheart, so forgive us if seeing them together on the red carpet brings a tear to our eye.

The two made an appearance at CinemaCon on Tuesday night to promote their upcoming science fiction thriller, "Passengers." Lawrence wore a sheer black tank top with an embellished black and silver skirt. The actress accessorized with minimal silver jewelry and natural makeup, wearing her wavy bleach blonde locks up.

Pratt opted for a more laid-back look, pairing jeans with a plaid shirt, brown jacket and matching vest. He occasionally flashed a "deer in headlights" look to complete his appearance.

Lawrence has said that she loved working with Pratt on "Passengers," telling Entertainment Weekly that the actor was literally so sweet.

"Pratt is a bag of gummy bears," Lawrence said. "He is cotton candy in human form. He’s always in a good mood! He always has energy."

But things got a little awkward when the two had to film a sex scene for the new flick. Lawrence said she handled it like the rest of us would, and told The Hollywood Reporter that she "got really, really drunk" before shooting.

“I had my first real sex scene a couple weeks ago and it was really bizarre," the actress said. "It was really weird ... everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It’s just a bizarre experience."

Regardless of the bizarreness of the situation, CinemaCon reviewers say the early footage of "Passengers" looks great. Look for the movie in theaters Dec. 21.
