Chris Hemsworth just discovered there are some parenting moments you never see coming.
The actor, currently promoting "The Huntsman: Winter's War," opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about an especially unexpected incident with his 4-year-old daughter, India Rose, that left him stumbling to come up with an appropriate response.
After noting that his new film involves being "rescued by these very powerful women" and how he wants his own daughter to live in a world "where [women are] in charge of their own destiny and they’re not waiting for the prince to rescue them," Hemsworth revealed that he's currently dealing with a bit of jealousy in his house.
"My daughter's kind of envious of my [2-year-old twin] boys at the moment," he said. "She came to me the other day and said, 'Papa, I want one of those things that [my sons] Sasha and Tristan have... the things in between their legs."
Hemsworth wasn't sure how to handle the situation and initially tried telling India Rose, "girls have breasts," but she responded, "I don't want breasts!... I really want one... I want a penis!"
And then he came up with the perfect answer.
"...I was like, 'You know what? You can be whatever you want to be," he said.
Right on, Chris. You ought to schedule a playdate with Adele and her son, as you both apparently have the same awesome idea about letting your kids be exactly who they are and loving them for it.
