Swipe and shine, baby!

After listening to "Flawless" by Beyoncé five times in a row, the pop star had us convinced that we "woke up like this." But that's far from the truth. Sometimes it takes a little (or a lot) of work.

In the video above, Essence Live makeup artist Tara Lauren shows us how it can be done with just one product: the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick. This drugstore beauty buy, which costs under $3, gives skin that healthy, natural-looking glow you usually get after a good night's sleep.

To avoid looking super shiny all over your face, concentrate on one area, like the eyelids. Lauren recommends rubbing your forefinger along the top of the cocoa butter stick and then gently press the moisturizer onto your lids. This will give you a "nice, silky, glistening eyelid," according to the pro. And you can skip the eyeshadow.

Watch the clip to learn Lauren's technique and hear her list even more cocoa butter beauty hacks that will simplify your life.
