If You Missed Out On Free Tickets From Ticketmaster, There's Still Hope

Ticketmaster's initial wave of free vouchers have been paid out -- but it's going to give out a few more.

You’re no ticket master.

If you were, you’d have signed in to your old Ticketmaster account over the past week and used the free ticket vouchers you were owed.

In 2013, the company lost a class action lawsuit that alleged “excessive and deceptive” fees, according to ABC News. This week, the company announced that if you ever bought tickets on Ticketmaster.com between October 1999 and February 2013, you were entitled to $2.25 per transaction ― for up to 17 transactions ― and a voucher for two free tickets to a curated list of future concerts.

Sadly, many of those concerts are awful (Kidz Bop, anyone?), and all the tickets that those vouchers were good for have been used up, according to LiveNation. But there is hope: The site reports that another $5 million worth of vouchers to a new set of concerts will be paid out starting Thursday.

At this time, nearly $5m worth of eligible ticket vouchers have been redeemed and the first wave of eligible events has been closed. Given the overwhelming interest, Ticketmaster is adding another $5m worth of eligible tickets so more class members can redeem ticket vouchers. Please check back [on June 23] for additional information.

So if you haven’t checked out your Ticketmaster account for your free tickets, now’s the time, friends. They won’t be around for much longer.
