The Most Heartwarming Image From The Republican National Convention

Two toddlers, oblivious to the politics, were pictured playing in a fountain.

It’s been dubbed the “most divisive” Republican National Convention ever.

But amid the fear-mongering and the protests, one image has emerged to offer everyone a glimmer of hope.

It's not all protests on Public Square. Two young girls enjoy the fountains on a hot day.

It shows a young black girl playing with a little white girl in a fountain in downtown Cleveland’s Public Square.

They are oblivious to the demonstrations taking place around them and the political developments inside the nearby Quicken Loans Arena.

Malcolm Porter captured the heartwarming picture for Cleveland’s ABC affiliate WEWS-TV. The TV station posted it to its social media accounts Friday with the caption, “It’s not all protests on Public Square,” and it’s now going viral.

It’s something children naturally do,” Cassidi Shoaf, the mother of one of the girls, called Aviella, told the station.

“They live in a different environment. They see things from a different perspective,” she added. “She, so clearly, doesn’t see people for their color. Their education. Or their background. She just sees people.”
