Latino Celebrities Explain Why Voting Is Crucial In ‘Habla Y Vota’ Trailer

Speak up and vote! That’s the message behind a new trailer for HBO Latino’s upcoming special “Habla y Vota.”

In the video, released Wednesday, numerous Latino celebrities and influencers explain why it’s imperative that Latinos vote in the upcoming election.

“For the first time in history, there’s a new rule,” explains journalist Jorge Ramos in the video. “No one, absolutely no one, can make it to the White House without the Hispanic vote.”

Voto Latino’s President María Teresa Kumar agrees. “This election is all about us,” she explains.

And that’s why it’s critical that Latinos take the election seriously, explains comedian George Lopez. “You cannot pretend that this election isn’t important. It’s important to all of us,” he says.

“Habla y Vota” is the latest installment of HBO’s “Habla” series. It will premiere during Hispanic Heritage Month and feature numerous celebrities including actress Adrienne Bailon, comedienne Cristela, singer Prince Royce, actor J.W. Cortés, journalist Maria Celeste and many others.
