Nike aired a new commercial last night during the Rio Olympics broadcast featuring superstar transgender athlete Chris Mosier, the first openly trans athlete to earn a spot on a U.S. National Team.

Nike’s β€œUnlimited Courage” campaign draws attention not only to Mosier’s skills as an athlete, but also to the lack of openly transgender competitors at the Olympics. This short film is the first of three from Nike that will recognize and celebrate everyday athletes on a global scale.

β€œBeing the first trans man on a U.S. men’s national team was a dream come true for me,” Mosier said in an interview published on Nike News. β€œI always wanted my name on a jersey. To represent our country at the highest level, in my sport, is just outstanding. It’s just such an amazing opportunity β€” and an amazing opportunity for other people to see themselves reflected in someone succeeding in sports as a trans man.”

Previously, Mosier, who competes in the duathlon and the triathlon, was the first trans athlete to be featured in ESPN’s Body Issue.

β€œI love my body. It took a long time for me to get to a point where I could say that, so I’m happy to be in a place where I can share that with the world,” Mosier said at that time.

Check out the short film β€œUnlimited Courage” and stay tuned for more from Nike.
