The similarities between Ryan Lochte and Donald Trump may not be immediately clear to most people — but trust comedic hero Stephen Colbert to change that.
“The Late Show” host made the comparison Monday, while mocking the Olympic gold medalist’s now-debunked story about being robbed during the Rio Games.

”And now the whole world thinks Ryan Lochte is that crazy American with the weird hair who keeps making stuff up and causing an international incident, which is not how an Olympian acts,” Colbert said.
Then came the killer line: “That’s how a presidential candidate acts.” Ouch.
Colbert later used clips of Lochte apologizing to Matt Lauer of “Today” to produce his own hilarious “exclusive interview” with the athlete. In the faux interview, Colbert quizzed Lochte on the scandal, his intoxication at the time and his plans for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
