No matter which era, album or reinvention, we can always count on Madonna for one thing: to express herself.
Until now, the pop diva has remained relatively quiet this election season, but she came out swinging on Wednesday with an official endorsement for Hillary Clinton and a message for Donald Trump and sons.
“How Big of. Pussy Do you have to BE to kill this Noble Animal for sport? Just ask Donald Trump Jr and his brother Eric,” she captioned the now infamous photo of the Trump siblings holding a dead leopard. “One more reason to vote for Hilary [sic]!”
Donald Trump Jr. and brother Eric have come under fire for the photo, which only recently resurfaced during their father’s campaign. Taken during a big-game hunting expedition years ago, the image is one of many grotesque photos, including one featuring Trump Jr. holding the tail of a dead elephant, that have animal rights defenders up in arms.
In 2015, Trump reportedly defended his sons’ actions, likening hunting to a game of golf, although reiterating that he doesn’t partake in the same activities.
“My sons love to hunt. They are members of the NRA, very proudly. I am a big believer in the Second Amendment,” he told reporters at a press conference last July, according to The Telegraph. “But my sons are hunters, Eric is a hunter, and I would say he puts it on a par with golf, if not ahead of golf. My other son, Don, is a hunter. They’re great marksmen, great shots, they love it.”
The only hunting we condone is Madge taking Trump and his supporters down a notch, one social media post at a time.
