Your Grandparents Want To Tell You Not To Vote For Trump ... Or Else

In their time on this planet, our grandparents have seen some s**t. Far more than you’ve probably ever seen. So their opinions have weight to them.

As part of progressive American Jewish advocacy group Bend The Arc, these grandparents have just one message for you: If you vote for Donald Trump, they will haunt you from the grave.

While Jewish support for Hillary Clinton is already strong (polls show that American Jews would vote for Clinton over Trump by 3-1), it’s not as strong as the group’s support for President Obama in 2012.

Stosh Cotler, CEO of Bend the Arc Jewish Action, told HuffPost that she hopes the video makes people smile, but also that viewers take away a sense of urgency about the need to get involved in stopping Donald Trump and his “hateful” agenda.

The video is part of Bend the Arc’s campaign “We’ve Seen This Before,” which points out that that many American Jews’ parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents came to America to escape violence and prejudice in other parts of the world.

“What Trump is doing this election and the policies he’s proposing us remind many of us of the horrors that our parents and grandparents were fleeing when they came to this country,” Cotler said. “We thought the most believable messengers would be the generation that was closest to some of that terrible history.”
