Chrissy Teigen: famous supermodel, cookbook author, badass mother... political commentator?
Teigen live-tweeted the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump like only she could ― with clever insights and sass to spare.
From the very beginning, it was clear that she was in the right frame of mind.
After priming us for a wonderful night of live, hopefully tipsy commentary, Teigen started with a few choice tweets directed at Trump.
Teigen hasn’t shied away from criticizing the GOP nominee in the past ― and she let her followers know exactly how she felt about his debate performance.
Teigen then praised Clinton’s ability to keep her cool.
“She is much better than I,” she wrote. “I would match whatever depth of low he wants to fight at.”
Now that’s a debate we would pay good money to see.
She also pleaded with Clinton to call Trump out on his birtherism ― which the Democratic nominee did, mere minutes later, to Teigen’s delight.
Then, she made this apt comparison...
And became understandably frustrated with Trump’s talking points...
After the debate was over, Teigen tuned into Fox News ― you know, to be a fair and balanced voter. Needless to say, she probably won’t be doing that again.
