The poop, the whole poop and nothing but the poop.

When it comes to bowel movements, the night time is not always the right time.

Turns out, more than 61 percent of Americans prefer to poop in the morning, compared to 2.6 percent who do it at night.

That’s the straight dirt from a survey about the bathroom habits of 2,000 Americans by Healthline.com. There is a lot of variation concerning how often people poop and what it looks like when it leaves the body.

Thirty percent of Americans claim their poop resembles a sausage or a snake.

But just because people have to poop doesn’t mean they want to. The study suggests Americans will go to extreme lengths to avoid answering nature’s call in public.

The main reason, according to 28.9 percent of respondents, is a lack of privacy. Another 16.2 percent are simply too embarrassed.

Still, there does seem to an unspoken etiquette regarding when someone can go No. 2 at their significant other’s home.

Eleven percent of men and 14 percent of women feel they have to be dating seriously for at least four months before using their loved one’s loo.

That’s a long time to hold it.

Geographically, the west may be the best place for poopers.
