We Need A Moment To Emotionally Recover From Kanye West's Birthday Gift To Kim Kardashian

Admit it. They're cute sometimes.

Mother’s Day? Surprise string ensemble in the living room. Christmas? 150 presents and counting. Valentine’s Day? More red roses than the “Beauty and the Beast” prop department.

Kanye West has a history of giving wife Kim Kardashian extravagant gifts for special occasions (and also just because it’s September), but he truly outdid himself for the reality TV star’s 36th birthday on Friday.

Finally putting the “what do you get the girl who has everything?” question to bed, the rapper treated Kim to a gift without a price tag that might be the sweetest one yet.

“Happy Birthday babe,” he captioned a video compilation of never-before-seen footage from Kim’s childhood.

Set to his song “Only One,” the five-minute video features the Kardashian family, including the late patriarch Robert, in their early days. Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Rob and Kris all make appearances, reminding us that, yes, there was a time when we didn’t know the Kardashians and they had no plans for us either.

If we’re ugly sobbing while watching this, then the gift most likely struck a chord with Kim, who’s been recovering in private after the horrific jewelry heist that left her bound and gagged in a hotel bathroom this month.

When Kanye was made aware of the robbery during his set at The Meadows Music & Arts Festival, he abruptly ended his performance, telling the crowd he had a “family emergency” to attend to.

She truly is his only one.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this post incorrectly stated Kanye flew to Paris following the robbery, when in fact, Kim returned to New York to be with her husband.
