This Might Just Be The Most 'First Take'-y Poll Of All Time

You already knew this poll was coming out after the Warriors lost.

If you are in-the-know, then you knew it was only a matter of time.

After the Golden State Warriors lost their season opener to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, it was really a matter of “when,” not “if.” But that didn’t make it any less comical, nor any less ridiculous, when ESPN’s “First Take” ― the show hosted by Mr. Hot Take himself, Stephen A. Smith ― put out the question this Wednesday morning: Is it time to say Kevin Durant has made the Warriors worse?

Ignoring the fact that Durant dropped 27 points on 11-18 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals, and ignoring the fact that the Warriors were forced to find themselves on the fly in their first game of the season against the most prepared and professional competition they will face their side of the Mississippi, the question is still wonderfully ridiculous on its face.

In what world should someone cast a judgement on a team, or, for that matter, on an employee or a human, after one day’s work? The answer, of course, is in Stephen A. Smith’s world, where it’s never too soon to jump to conclusions.

Is it panic time in The Bay? No, but it is hot-take time in Bristol, Connecticut.
