GOOD GRIEF: It's The Great Pumpkin Robbery, Charlie Brown!

Thieves made off with 192 pumpkins worth as much as $3,000.

It’s neither a trick nor a treat but a brazen theft of hundreds of pumpkins from a New Jersey patch.

A van was caught on surveillance camera making three trips to the Farms View pumpkin patch in Wayne early Tuesday, where thieves absconded with 192 pumpkins, NBC New York reported.

It’s incredible that people have the audacity to just do this stuff,” Todd Kuehm, the owner’s son, told the station. “And what are they going to do with it now? That’s how we make our living, that’s how we pay our bills.”

According to its website, Kuehm’s family has run the farm since 1894. The farm stand and pumpkin patch are a popular local destination known for “Happy Jack,” an animated talking pumpkin, as well as seasonal treats such as apple cider and apple cider donuts.

The purloined pumpkins were worth between $2,500 and $3,000, per the local Patch website, and a $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wayne Police Department at (973) 633-3530.
