Tracy Morgan Forgives The Truck Driver Who Almost Killed Him

"But you know who is mad at him? All my white neighbors."

Tracy Morgan bears no malice to the truck driver who almost killed him.

The “30 Rock” star opened up to Conan O’Brien on Thursday about the deadly June 2014 crash in which a Walmart tractor-trailer slammed into his limo bus on the New Jersey Turnpike.

It killed the comic’s friend and mentor, fellow comedian James McNair, and left Morgan in a coma for two weeks afterward.

“I forgave him and I’m not even mad at him no more,” Morgan said of driver Kevin Roper, who is now awaiting trial on charges related to the incident.

Morgan then reverted to comic type to joke that “all my white neighbors” weren’t so happy with the outcome — because the undisclosed settlement Walmart gave him after the crash had allowed him to move into a nicer neighborhood.

“If you wouldn’t have hit his ass, he wouldn’t be living next door to me,” he mimicked his new neighbors as saying. “I’ve got daughters.”

Morgan also elaborated to O’Brien on the outpouring of support he received while recovering from the crash. And he revealed exactly why he now only drives his Lamborghini near his home at 30 miles per hour.
