Taylor Swift Threw Lorde A Celeb-Filled Birthday Party Fit For Royals

Perennial Pinterest queen Taylor Swift whipped out her party planning skills on Monday to throw the cutest birthday bash for her OG squad member, Lorde.

Combining the cuteness factor of her annual 4th of July bash with some tips she probably picked up at Drake’s birthday party, Swift helped Lorde turn 20 with a homemade card, a giant chocolate cake with sparklers and (the best gift of all?) a few perfect Instagrams filled with celebrity friends.

Aziz Ansari, Karlie Kloss, Tavi Gevinson, actress Mae Whitman and designer Rachel Antonoff were just a few of the stars who stopped by for the birthday bash:

Swift also made sure to Instagram the card she made for Lorde, whom she refers to by Ella, her real name (reminding us of the whole Calvin Harris/Adam name game).

“Thank you for the music you make, the advice you give, the thoughts you provoke, and the way you’ve made my life more beautiful since the first day we met up in New York and ate burgers on a park bench and got attacked by squirrels,” Swift wrote in the caption of her Instagram photo, which appears to use the Nashville filter. “I. Love. You. So. Much. Ella.”

Lorde returned the favor with a heartfelt Instagram of her own, thanking the “Style” singer for throwing her such an epic birthday party.

She wrote: “Had the best birthday party i’ve ever had tonight surrounded by my nyc family. all organised by tay who is as she says ‘a mom with no kids.’ I am ur kid and u love me so hard i could burst. here’s to our 3 magic years of best friendship and more moments like this squished between angels.”
