The cast of “Friends” dancing around and in a fountain as The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There For You” plays is arguably one of television’s most recognizable opening sequences. As the show has continued to win over successive generations with a renewed popularity on Netflix, the “Friends” theme is an increasingly rare cultural moment we all can understand together.
