Dave Chappelle Wishes 'Internet Troll' Donald Trump Good Luck In 'SNL' Monologue

The comedian did have one caveat for the president-elect.

Dave Chappelle wished President-elect Donald Trump good luck in his “Saturday Night Live” opening monologue.

But he did have one condition.

After saying America had elected “an internet troll as our president,” the comedian recounted the recent time he was at a BET event at the White House where “everybody in there was black, apart from Bradley Cooper for some reason.”

“I saw how happy everybody was, these people who had been historically disenfranchised, and it made me feel hopeful, and it made me feel proud to be an American, and it made me very happy about the prospects of our country,” said Chappelle, who also touched on anti-Trump protests, Trump’s comments about women, mass shootings and the Black Lives Matter movement in his routine.

“So, in that spirit, I’m wishing Donald Trump luck,” he added. “I’m going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too.”
