Billy Bob Thornton is keeping tabs on famous ex-wife Angelina Jolie during her divorce from Brad Pitt. The “Bad Santa 2” actor opened up about the actress during an interview with Entertainment Tonight last week.
“She seems, you know, OK to me when I talk to [her],” the actor told ET. “I don’t talk to her that often, though. You know? We’re still very good friends, but she’s got her world. I’ve got mine.”
Thornton recently opened up about his former wife of two years in a quirky, candid GQ interview, telling the magazine he “never felt good enough for her.” But it seems the pair has still managed to form a friendship.
“Once in a blue moon we come together,” the actor added in his ET interview. “Every now and then we talk, you know? Whatever. But when people are going through their trials and tribulations I try to leave them alone unless they want to talk to me.”
“Trials and tribulations” seems to be the mildest form of language possible to describe Jolie’s divorce from Brad Pitt. Pitt was only recently cleared of child abuse allegations after the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services investigated an incident between the actor and his eldest son, Maddox. The “Allied” actor and Jolie are still wrestling with a custody agreement for their six children.
