There’s a new beast in Emma Watson’s life: social media.

The first trailer for “The Circle,” the film adaptation of Dave Eggers’ hit 2013 novel, was released exclusively by USA Today on Tuesday.

Watson ― who also stars in the upcoming “Beauty and the Beast” ― plays Mae, a recent college graduate and new hire at a powerful internet company modeled after Facebook called The Circle, which might have a more nefarious mission than meets the eye.

The two-minute trailer begins with Mae’s interview and follows her ascent in the company before she puts down the Kool-Aid and starts to question everything around her.

Tom Hanks is also on hand to deliver his best faux-Zuckerberg as Bailey, the public face of the company and one of its original founders.

“The Circle” hits theaters April 2017.
