'The View' Shows Support For #ADayWithoutImmigrants With Empty Studio

"We wanted to show you what this particular show would look like without any immigrants on it,” Whoopi Goldberg said.

The ladies of “The View” showed their support for the #ADayWithoutImmigrants protest on Thursday’s show with a poignant image.

At the start of the show, a photo of the empty studio was shared, which co-host Whoopi Goldberg later explained was a representation of what “The View” would look like sans immigrants.

The movement has spread across the country and exploded on social media.

Of “The View”’s empty studio depiction, Goldberg said, “Since every one of us, and probably everyone in the audience, is either an immigrant or the child of immigrants, we wanted to show you what this particular show would look like without any immigrants on it.”

Goldberg also asked the audience if there were any Native Americans in the studio, to which one woman raised her hand. You can watch the entire exchange above.
