Zoe Saldana Uses 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' To Get Her Kids To Eat Veggies

Apparently, it's all thanks to the Hulk.

Want your kids to eat their vegetables? Just tell them you’re related to the Hulk. It works for Zoe Saldana.

On Monday, the cast of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” including Saldana, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” During the interview, Kimmel said the actors’ kids must love seeing their parents save the galaxy on screen. Saldana agreed, explaining that playing the green-colored character Gamora gives her the upper hand when it comes to convincing her kids to eat their vegetables.

“My kids think that I’m related to the Hulk, so I’m using it, and I’m getting them to eat their vegetables,” she said. “I even go as far as I go behind this wall, and I’m like, ‘I’m going to go call the Hulk because you guys are not eating your veggies and he’s going to come and take your toys.’”

Saldana, who has 2-year-old twin boys and announced her third child’s arrival this past February, said she then growls behind the wall like the Hulk, convincing her kids to eat their veggies rather than risk a visit from the big guy.

Chris Pratt, who stars as Peter Quill (also known as Star-Lord) in the film, said the movie has also given him parenting bonus points. He told Kimmel having his son Jack, who is now 4, visit the set with him was his “favorite memory from this movie,” especially when Jack got to check out the spaceship used in the film.

“You saw it in his eyes,” Pratt said. “He thought like, ‘I’ve seen it on TV or in the movie, but I guess my dad really does fly a spaceship to work.’”

No word on whether little Jack calls his dad Star-Lord, though.
