Oregon Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Chicken

Police also say he brandished sharp sticks to threaten another person.

A 27-year-old Oregon man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself and sexually abusing a chicken, The Oregonian reported.

Joshua Woltmon of Medford pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of sexual assault on an animal, public indecency, menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct, according to the Mail Tribune.

Citing court documents, the Oregonian said Woltmon is accused of making contact with the chicken’s genitals for gratification and also brandishing sharp sticks to threaten another man.

Woltmon was ordered to follow the guidance of mental health professionals upon his release from jail, the Mail Tribune noted.

He had no prior record of sexual offenses but was previously convicted of meth possession, the newspaper wrote. He also has cases pending for alleged drug possession and trespassing.

The suspect is set to appear again in court on May 15, KOIN reported.

According to The Oregonian, court records from a 2014 guardianship case said Woltmon suffered from bipolar disorder and was “unable to make informed decisions.”

The Medford Police Department did not have anyone immediately available to respond to a request for comment from HuffPost.
