CBS caught Senator Obama on Capitol Hill in a swarm of journalists today. CBS also reports that Speaker Pelosi jumped out of her weekly press briefing to greet the Senator. Read more below and watch video:

Sen. Barack Obama stepped into a swarm of superdelegates this morning when he visited the House of Representatives in the middle of a vote. Obama stayed on the floor for almost half an hour visiting with both Democrats and Republicans who looked completely star struck.

Even Speaker Nancy Pelosi left her weekly press briefing and made a beeline for the House floor to say hello. And the Capitol Hill press corps surrounded the House Chamber to catch him on his way out and fire questions about such an unusual move for a presidential candidate, even if he is a senator.

PART 1

The "brave soldiers" are not fighting for our country. They are submitting to orders to attack a harmless country that posed no threat to us, at the behest of their handlers (the Bush cabal) who have no regard for human life or rights, but have ordered them there to take over a country - under false pretenses - so that they could commandeer their oil resources and at the same time set up shop for our next unwarranted attack on a similar positionally and financially attractive country.

The fact that these "brave soldiers" are doing this "without regard of (sic) their own lives" is not so much something that is worthy of reverence, but more something that should send shivers down your spine, because it shows how susceptible you and all those "brave soldiers" are to your government's lying propaganda and how you (and they) have no idea (or desire?) whatsoever how to research what is really happening here and thus make an informed decision. Because if you (and they) had done so, then they would not be there making those...

...poor peoples' lives a misery and neither you nor they would be laboring under the delusion that they are a/. "fighting for our country" or b/. doing a brave and glorious thing. It kind of cuts into the flavor of the "bravery" thing when people are mindlessly following other ill-intentioned peoples' harmful directives. Kind of gives it the same kind of feeling as when the mafia or a gang leader sends in his "brave" but mindless thugs to do their illegal dirty strong arm work. No matter what the uniform or the flag it's wrapped in, the fact remains: those are not "brave soldiers" "protecting" their country, they are mindless little worker ants doing the big boss's evil bidding. Not stopping to think or question what the truth may be.

It is not Glorious to stupidly submit to orders, no questions asked, no matter how hard you try to paint it that way. It is what it is: stupid and irresponsible at the very least. Criminal, at worst.

Arianna Huffington is drop dead gorgeous. I cannot get enough of her.I tune in every time she appears on a panel. I last saw her with Bill Maher and as usual she tells it like it is. Lou Dobbs could learn a thing or two from her. Does Ms Huffington have a show on radio ? If she does, please let me know where I can tune in to listen in New York.
p.s. To steal a line from Chris Matthews...I feel a tingle up my legs anytime I hear her accent.

I hope you are either kidding or are a follower of Phyllis Schaffley. Speaker Pelosi is the 2nd most powerful American in this Country -- and she got there the hardway. Her voting constituency was only 16% female and yet, she still shattered that glass ceiling. Interesting (and very accurate) Freudian slip there. Nancy has done nothing but *yield* power since she came on the scene as Speaker of the House. Starting from her stupid, unwarranted and illegal pardon of the Bush cabal. Ms "Impeachment is off the table" and "Let me swoon in your mighty presence, Mr. Bush" Pelosi. Ms "we have to concentrate on the *important* issues, that's why we're not doing what the majority of the American people mandated us to do, by impeaching Bush/Cheney and ending the war in Iraq". Ms "Let's give Mr. Bush the power and the option to attack Iran as well, without even having to ask for the opinion or the blessing of Congress". Ms. "our hands are tied in funding the Iraq war because we don't want to seem like we're turning against our troops".

If by "she got there the hard way" you mean by cheating, lying, extortion, and sucking up to the powers that be - you are dead on. Sure that's all hard work, but Nancy has certainly proven her mettle in those departments. She is definitely up to it. And we can all count on her to gracefully sashay us into yet another illegal war or two with Iran and Syria.

Do watch out for that glass ceiling, Kim. The fallout from those shards can be a bitch!

That despicable Lanny Davis has been on Larry King trying to pitch for Hillary. What is it about that guy that is revolting? Anyway, he came up with that insulting lame excuse about Hillary not meaning what she said, Lanny claims she was just quoting the AP report. So, what is he saying, Hillary "mis-spoke again?" Hillary Clinton is too calculating to make a mistake like that. She says what she says on purpose. If Lanny thinks she didn't mean what she said, what is he saying then, that Hillary makes mistakes when she speaks? When she speaks about important issues that must be phrased properly? For instance, "We will obliterate Iran?" Something that could get the earth blown to bits, thats all. Yes, Lanny Davis is second only to James Carville in the annoying and vulgar department among Clinton surrogates. Lanny Davis has an annoying whiny voice and his ridiculous spinning of the facts grates on the nerves of a sane person's intelligence. That, for me, is most revolting about him.
