During an appearance on the O'Reilly factor last night, John McCain tried to dispel the confirmed reports that he told a group of people at a 2001 Los Angeles dinner, he had not voted for George Bush in 2000.

Watch the video and read the transcript below.

Transcript:

O'REILLY: OK. Arianna Huffington says you didn't vote for Bush in 2000. She's one of these people who is going to come after you.

MCCAIN: Yes.

O'REILLY: On her website yesterday, somebody blogged that you collaborated with the North Vietnamese, and they didn't torture you. This is Arianna Huffington. Now Arianna Huffington flat out said you did not vote for President Bush in 2000.

MCCAIN: What can you say?

O'REILLY: Did you vote for President bush?

MCCAIN: Of course not. I campaigned all over this country for him.

O'REILLY: So you voted for President Bush.

MCCAIN: Of course. I mean, that's a ridiculous question.

O'REILLY: So she lied?

MCCAIN: Well, I don't -- frankly, I do not read Huffington Post. I spare myself from having that experience.

O'REILLY: You voted for Bush in 2000?

MCCAIN: I voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004.

O'REILLY: OK.

MCCAIN: And not only that, far more important than a vote, I campaigned everywhere in America for him.

O'REILLY: (INAUDIBLE).

MCCAIN: I enjoyed it. I campaigned with him. I did everything I could to get him elected and reelected president.

Add another sin to McCain's growing "naughty-not-nice" list , his little known spearheading of bills to force relocation of Dineh Navajo, a modern Trail of Tears :

http://www.acsa.net/cain2004.org/Dine-Navajo-PressRelease.htm

"(Public Law 93-531 as amended in 1996 (Partition), 1999 (Settlement), 2001 (Enforcement of Resettlement) and 2005 (Expansion of Resettlement) by bills introduced by Senator McCain - has led to the United Nations Special Rapporteur, Hon Abdeltalif Amor's condemnation of human rights violations inside the US, over the stripping of rights and forced resettlement of these gentle and deeply spiritual band of Dineh-Navajo Indians from Arizona, swept off of lands they'd owned since 1500 A.D. so that Peabody Western Coal could mine the Coal from beneath their farmlands and tap their wells to slurry pipe it to a power station in Nevada)...."

Dineh Navago appealled to UN for relief of resulting human rights violations:

Mmmmm! McCain really doesn't know what he wants to claim. At this point----he appears to REALLY take the stance of Bush's policies. Great job, McCain.

I'm really disappointed with McCain. Anybody who kisses the ass of Bill O'Reilly doesn't deserve to be President.

Somebody is lying and I think it is McCain!

Don't believe any of them!!!! They are all victims, including O'Reilly. They sold their souls for money and power and are now paying the price - having to lie, on camera, to the American public for the goal of their puppetmaster. You don't think the lying, cheating, fraud, and manipulation is natural coming from so many in our government do you? Their children will have serious accidents if they don't tow the line. Feel sorry for them. They are being used to destroy America - what a heavy load and burden they must carry.

MCCAIN is a despicable human being. He has 100% SOLD HIMSELF to the intolerant, warmongering bigots of the right-wing.

THIS IS WHY OBAMA SHOULD NEVER EVER APPEAR ON BILL O'REILLY SHOW LEST HE CONFIRM HIS WEAKNESS AND BILLOs STATURE OF SOME SORT OF KINGMAKER AND UBER AUTHORITY OF THE MEDIA. HE IS NOT!!!

HE IS A BIASED, TWO-FACED, INTIMIDATING NEOCON THAT WANTS MORE WARS OF AGGRESSION, WITH IRAN ON THIS NEOFASCISTs HORIZON.

You can tell by his body language that he's lying. Not only he's a liar, he's a BAD LIAR. Even before Arianna broke the story, it was pretty obvious to me that McCain did not vote for Bush in 2000, after becoming the first victim of Rove's swiftboating.

O'Reilly is such a demagogue holding Arianna responsibility for all the comments on her website. I would delight in seeeing a reporter question O'Reilly about some of the fascist comments on his website, as if O'Reilly himself were responsible for them. O'Reilly's big melon head would explode!

Also, other people sitting at the table with McCain and Arianna have verified the fact that McCain said he did not vote for Bush. In fact, McCain showed great judgement in not voting for Bush.

Of course he voted for Bush. And of course he lied about it when sitting at a dinner table packed with Hollywood liberals.

Mr. Straight Talk will say whatever suits the occasion and the audience.

Immigration? He's for whatever position the room takes today.

Tax cuts? He's against them. Of course, he's for them if you like them.

Abortion? He's reasonable on it. Unless he's in a room of Republicans.

His only unalterable position: for war, all the time, in any place.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves for making fun of John McCain just because he is old, confused and can't remember things like who he voted for!

Yeah, and just because McCain's capable of lying doesn't mean he's good at it ! Cut the ole bugger some slack. Gee.

Gramps also voted for Hoover.

John McCain is a pathetic person. I would like to feel sorry for him except for the fact that his views would kill more American service personnel, and make the rich richer (like his rich trophy wife Cindy) and continue the downward slide of America. The good news: This clown has no chance of being elected President. I also hope the good people of Arizona "retire" him when he is up for re-election to the Senate. I am disgusted with McCain and his lies.

McBush is all smoke and mirrors. He's changed his position on so many issues but he's been flying under the radar. It's time to put the heat on him and the media needs to be on it. There are some that look no further than the fact he was a POW and that's supposed to make him honest and qualified to be president, not even considering his positions...he's banking on that. I think there are serious mental issues with him too, like senility and PTSD. God help us if he's elected!

I have asked this 50 times already and never seen one reply yet. please Clintonites, tell me why I as a Obama supporter should be afraid of McCain come Nov?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:33 AM on 05/09/2008

Well, it could be true that he actually voted for Bush but is it true that he told people he didn't? That's the questions someone needs to ask him. He's telling someone a lie. Not to be trusted! He wouldn't answer when asked if Arianna was a liar. I am so tired of deceit.

Bill O'Lovelace and John the Manchurian Candidate McNutcase, it doesn't get better than this.

Seems like Johnnie's been watching too many news clips of Hillary and Bill fielding questions and has decided to imitate them.

Anything I need to know about McCain can be summed up in his bio:

While a POW, McCain's first wife Carol was in a serious car accident, thrown through the windshield. She didn't want her POW husband to learn of her situation, thinking he didn't need to hear bad news, so it was kept quiet.

When McCain returned to her in 1973, he saw a completely different woman. She was left 4" shorter, on crutches and overweight.

In 1979, he met 25 year old Cindy Hensley from a very wealthy politically-connected Arizona family. Cindy's father, Jim, founded the Hensley and Company, the nation's third-largest Anheuser-Busch distributor. McCain was 42. They had an torrid affair. He dumped his first wife April of 1980, and married Cindy in May 1980.

Add to that, he had many affairs when he got back from Vietnam, as he admitts.
And Cindy stole prescription drugs from her own charity and got away with it (because of her powerful husband).

Cindy did have the good sense to get a pre-nup. She knew what a cad he was.

So the next obvious question from an astute journalist is...
Mr. McCain, did you ever tell any person or group that you didn't vote for Bush?

Seems like McCain's mouth or memory has put him in a box.

Ariana has flat out made a statement and is standing by it. There are at least 2 named sources already on record, and an un-named third source also corroborating the story.

Another liar.

Arianna doesn't need to put her reputation on the line by making stuff up. She, as many others who at one time loved McSame see through his calloused heart and that laugh gives him away.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:24 AM on 05/09/2008

The more important thng, did he tell Arianna and those other people there that he didn't vote for Bush??
Because that is shows that he just wants to please whoever he is around, more pandering, more lies.. blah blah blah

It's quite possible John McBomb doesn't remember what he ate for breakfast this morning, much less who he voted for in 2000.

More importantly, was he wearing a flag pin on his lapel?
