Michelle Obama gave a hint of what her portfolio may be if she becomes first lady at a fund-raiser Friday for Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.). Former CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson -- of Plamegate fame -- who has been stumping for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) -- was also a featured speaker.

Obama suggested that if she were to become first lady, she would take on women's and family issues, prompted by the stories she has been hearing from females on the campaign trail.
"And if I have the honor of becoming the next first lady, I want to continue these conversations like the ones I've had with these incredible women across the country. I want to ensure that their voices don't get drowned out ever again in Washington."

Again, can you imagine a former Walmart lawyer as President?

It's almost as bad as electing the governor of a rogue state.

Michelle worked for a major Wallmart supplyer...............Treegate, I believe. She had to resign when Obama criticized Walmart

So what is your point?

WELL in JUNE you will see HILLARY HUGGING AND KISSING MICHELLE then What?????????????

I doubt that............Michelle has said so many negative personal things about Hillary.
She really has no class......

Michelle once asked Hillary, "If you can't keep your own house in order, then how are you gonna keep the White House in order?"

Point made. No "bitter" responses please.

That's a lie. Please post a link. It's just like a Hillary supporter to makeupshit. This sort of thing seems to come very easy to Senator Clinton.

Michelle, the arrogant, did say that during the course of the campaign, a few weeks ago.
If you want to find it, google, but I would think you Obamanuts would know everything Obama and Michelle has ever said....

She also said she would "have to think about it" when asked if she would support Hillary if she won the nomination.

And when asked, before this campaign got so heated, which 1st Lady she admired, she responded "Hillary because she is so smart and she raised a wonderful daughter while living in the WH.

What an arrogant phony B***h she has turned into now that she thinks Obama might win.

Michelle Obama didn't ask Hillary anything. She made a statement, but never mentioned Hillary. And if the plan this fall is to demonize Michelle Obama, because you can't find anything on Barack Obama, I'd say democrats are a pretty good position, because the opposition seems to be grasping for straws from the onset.

What point? That Michelle has no class? That Michelle isn't smart enough to know that she has no idea what goes on in someone else's marriage and it really isn't her business? That Michelle doesn't know the meaning of the word commitment?

The point I got is Michelle needs a new speech writer. It was a dumb remark and not appropriate in a presidential campaign. Does Michelle think she is gossiping with a neighbor over the back fence about another neighbor? This is how Michelle treats a fellow woman? And she wants women's issues to be her "cause" if she is First Lady? Ummmm...don't think so. Maybe she meant issues important to women who are just like her and think just like her. That must be it.

To all the 'sea hags' who posted negatively about Michele Obama:

When you see her walking down the street... walk on by, cause this WOMAN, is head and shoulders above you... The epitome of what a woman should be and you can't hold a candle to her!

THIS NO STEPFORD WIFE!

They can't handle to see a black woman represent the epitome of womanhood. It's envy, that's all.

Looks to me like, just as her husband has done constantly, she is taking on Senator Clinton's ideas and claiming them as her own. Perhaps trying to regain some of the women she has alienated with her constant insulting of the Clintons? Too late. All, and I mean all, of the women I know who supported Clinton have said they would NEVER vote for him. They will either write in Hillary's name or leave it blank.

Wow! The women on this board want's Michelle to champion their causes, but they won;t vote for Hillary, you people are sick. And, you've missed a golden opportunity, your best chance would have been Hillary. But she's too smart for the average working women, so they turn their nose up to her. The guy's are right, if you wont to get rid of a women, put one in charge, and the rest will destroy her. SAAAAAAAAAAAD!

Michelle Obama.
The most divisive and racist individual in American politics since Strom Thurmond.
She'll make a swell First Lady.

I would have to agree, this woman is very divisive - i am african american and some of the things
she says!!! how could you every want her for a first lady,All Hiliary supporters vote John Mccain atleast his wife is class act - she is proud to me an american!!!!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:44 AM on 05/11/2008

Give me a break. Cindy Mccain allows her husband to call her a trolip and a Cu@t in public and you call a verbally abused woman who sits there and take it a class act? In no way would any one want their daughters married to a man like john Mccain! And If you think Bill being a first Gentelman of the United States good for our country is plum crazy! Mrs. Obama represents a clean, educated, intelligent mom and family woman! It's been a long time sense we had that kind of goodness in the white house! I love laura Bush, but she wasn't as out going as I would have liked her to be for the womans cause. She was great for the cancer society. I certainly respect her, but G.Bush just destroyed us looking at this Couple in a good light. And he destroyed our good well, all around the world. It will be good to see this type of family again in the white house! This will be a face and family that will indeed bring a new light back to America again! We are very lucky to That these good people will be our next white house family.

Shame on you all! Would you rather have some one like Cindy Mccain who stands there and allows her husband to verbally abuse her in public representing Women in America? Is that what you want for your daughters guys? Or maybe you perfer to have The First Man

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:20 PM on 05/11/2008

I think that is just what Michelle should do. Go solve those women and family issues. What problems will she actually solve. It almost sounds like the question at the Miss USA pageant! I want to eliminate poverty and make everyone happy and end all wars and plant lots of flowers!

You would have thought Barack could have found a better looking woman and one that had a better inner self.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 AM on 05/11/2008

"A better looking woman"?

Are you kidding me? I think that they suit each other and looks matter why? That woman is beautiful, poised, articulate, intelligent and you can SEE that she supports her husband 100%. That's all that matters. And as long as her husband loves and respects her, who cares what some ugly (on the inside apparently) anonymous blogger thinks about her looks?
