More than a few Republican lobbyists in Washington are scratching their heads these days, asking: So this is the thanks we get?

It was a small band of loyal lobbyists who stood by presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain last August when his campaign went broke and his White House aspirations seemed doomed.

Why does McCain persist in making that awful wink and also making that gross flicking of his tongue - it is reminiscent of a reptile flicking it's tongue. uugghhh!
Please, will one of you McCain trolls let McCain know that making weird facial expressions only makes him look like a gargole.

Let me see. We're supposed to feel sorry for a bunch of Republican Lobby'st. You guys are a bunch of whores. What, you want a kiss too?

"My friends, I am a flip-flopper. I will kiss the @$$ of anyone just to have one last *gasp* at being President. Honor be damned"

Shut up, John. Go play with Cindy's money.

There are no thanks from McCain. He is in it for John. Tossing people under the bus is nothing. Once your usefulness is over or you become a liability, out you go. This also applies to the voters. This type of politician is dangerous, do not underestimate what he will do for the White House.

The McCain's are not even loyal to their adopted daughter!
McCain does not appear with his adopted brown skinned daughter and never mentions her.
In fact the McCains have even kept their brown skinned adopted daughter away from those famous McCain family BBQ's that the McCain's have been hosting to court the main stream media and republican campaign contributors.
McCain and his wife will toss anyone under the bus - just look at how the McCains have tossed their adopted brown skinned daughter under the bus in order to court agents of intolerence.
What a wonderful family values image they are presenting by tossing aside their adopted daughter.

Is there any general disclosure of registered lobbyist and who they have lobbied to and on whose behalf.

Is that a database worth developing or is that something that needs to remain confidential ?

The american league of lobbyists is the lobbying association for lobbyists. Maybe they could help. I'm sorry. I'm being sarcastic. I just find it ludicrous that these cretins have their own lobby.

and apparantly their own presidential nominee!

Poor lobbyist babies. They can't buy policy?? You mean the policies have to be for the People instead of the corrupt Special Interests. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Remind me somebody said words don't have power? In surgery they say the word is mightier than the knife. I now strongly believe more than ever that change is gonna come no matter what. I cannot wait for November to come and go.

Lobbyists of any kind should be outlawed. There are over 40,000 registered lobbyists and it's obscene and has altered the "government of the people, for the people and by the people" concept the Founding Fathers had in mind. And BOTH side are guilty of it.

Now, here's Captain Johnny, tied to the hip of lobbyists, long term and short term, author of McCain-Feingold Bill, making a hypocrite of himself yet again.

Elmer Fudd should not wink. You know, this guy has a lot of traits in common with Elmer. He stumbles on his speech a lot and likes big guns. Now if only he has as much trouble with Obama as he has with that pesky wabbit.

You wonder if Lobbyists are the vengeful sort who might spill every dirty little secret they know about someone who through them under a bus, maybe doing it right before an election?

I wouldn't trust them. They will represent dictators for money, despite their crimes.

While job growth under Bush has been abysmal in almost every sector, jobs in the lobbying sector have grown exponentially! Now y'all want to undo Bush's single economic achievement?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:58 PM on 05/21/2008

Give me a break. He just told them to lay low until after the election much like Falwell and Robertson did for bush. That's my opinion, anyway.

Grampy John McSame showing himself to be a double-dealing backstabber loyal to nothing but his own political aspirations? What a shock! Guess the Straight Talk Express is in for a bumpy ride when you consider the fact that he has thrown only five active lobbyists working for his campaign under the bus and there are whopping fifty-four more to go.

If this so-called purge is real and not just another case of the media regurgitating pap spook fed to them between the morning donuts with sprinkles and the afternoon BBQ ribs, then it is the smartest thing McSame can do if he is going to rob the Democrats of one of their best talking points before the general campaign starts to heat up. However, something tells me this is just a smoke screen.

Now what is McSame going to do to deal with his next biggest political liability - the trollop (his words, not mine) wife who has vowed to NEVER release her tax records?

This is so humorous to observe!!

Obama has outflanked McCain.

Being a furriner and all, I don't always get the nuances of the US political system, but what are the odds of someone like a Bloomberg trying to unseat McInsane at the Republican convention? Is such a scenario possible?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:32 PM on 05/21/2008

Read about Bloomberg in wiki he has problems with sexism in the work place and law suits because of it. Too bad he is a very smart guy that once again lets sex ruin it.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:14 PM on 05/21/2008

But process-wise, is that scenario possible?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:30 PM on 05/21/2008

thebanana:
I believe it is not possible. As you might have seen the partys have many rules concerning elections, and someone wanting to jump in at the last moment? Just not done, Old Boy...
