Meet Michelle Obama, My (Black) Friend!

Michelle Obama appeared on The View on Wednesday, giving a fist-bump to each co-host. The potential first lady (and her husband) also made the cover of US Weekly, accompanied by the sugary-sweet caption, "Why Barack Loves Her." The current media barrage is part of a campaign aimed at re-introducing Michelle Obama to the American public.

I feel for Michelle, Cindy or any lady (Elephant or Donkey) who's in the running for First Lady. Sadly they're fair game, and in Mchelle's case, all the explaining she'll have to do on behalf of the little ones...

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and in the case of Cindy McCain. She if all
people had no excuse to take drugs, she was born with a gold spoon in her mouth. Her life has
been a fairy tale why wouldn't she be proud of her country.

Wow. I'm not a big fan of Michelle, but even I find this distasteful.

Even worse, it's C-Grade comedy material. It's not SNL-quality... It's not even MadTV-quality. This is on-par with the Redneck Comedy Tour.

OK, I'm completely embarrassed, but I'll admit it...I was looking at all the covers completely baffled at how they were considered positive or helpful. Even after I saw the "Hi Whiteys" cover, I didn't get that they were a joke. = )

They I saw the one with the gun, what appaulled, and FINALLY got that they were a joke when I read the part about her almost shooting Hillary. It's been a LONG day, and they've been smeared so much it's pathetically hard to tell the difference between a joke and the ridiculous smears out there!
