The Obama campaign is taking on three more Clinton staffers.....the latest hires are Sara Hurwitz, from the Clinton speechwriting shop....Isaac Baker, communications chief for Clinton in Ohio, who will handle similar duties for Obama in the general election contest....and a very strategic hire to smooth over relationships with angry die hard Clinton female supporters......Dana Singiser...director of womens outreach for Clinton, who will work on womens outreach for Obama.

This crew is in addition to previous hiring of Patti Solis Doyle, Clinton's former campaign manager who was jettisoned during the primary who will be chief of staff for Obama's running mate and Clinton policy chief Neera Tanden, who is advising Obama.

Perhaps it better to suffer four more years knowing what your sufferings will be (Republican) than to say "yes" to a change you don't understand, appreciate or "believe in!"

Don't be fooled by your wayward sisters! Doyle and Singiser are more concerned about climbing the vocational ladder than standing by Women-Americans. Visit www.womenamericans.com for ALL the facts! Just Say No Deal!

Your link goes nowhere. But I did visit your site and all I have to say is that any woman who does not get behind Obama is helping McCain win - and that is a travesty against America!. McCain - who voted to impeach Bill Clinton - husband of your candidate of choice. McCain - who has consistently failed to support a woman's right to choose.

You can be a strong woman, a feminist, and support Barack Obama. Or, you can chose not to - and when you do not support Obama, you are supporting the alternative - John McCain! Our country deserves better a better leader than McCain - don't let us down!

What is all this "Obama don't need no stinkin' Clinton people or middle aged white women" stuff. Of course he does. It doesn't diminish him in any way to acknowledge the value of others, even HRC or the "bitter old feminists" who supported her. Obama is about bringing the country together, yet so many of his supporters seem to want him to act in petty, vindictive ways. I'm glad that he is taking his own counsel and ignoring all the hard core haters.

It's a little too late to pander to disenfranchised Clinton supporters. It's not just about Clinton anymore. It's about the DNC and its inane nominating process, Obama's enormous lack of experience, thin resume and nefarious associations, and the blatantly biased actions of the party elite such as Brazile, Dean, Kerry, Richardson and Pelosi. Millions of democrats will be staying home in November, voting for a third-party candidate or voting for McCain. It's a fact. PUMA.

HRC supports are bitter, clinging to feminism. They define logic and any sense of reason. I encourage t hem all to vote for McSame. Stop acting like a 5 year old throwing a temper tamtrum.

You have no concept of why her supporters will not tow the party line. It has nothing to do with feminism.

Okay... I think the Obama campaign has appeased her enough. Please... their strategy and advisors are leading you away from victory. Please... let them sit at the table... but don't let them pick the menu.

You are known for your great speeches... why would you hire her speechwriter???

I agree - they will be sitting at the table but not selecting the menu. They are not being hired to take over strategic planning and policy making. The number of workers being absorbed from Clinton's camp is necessary simply to increase the body count to meet the enhanced demands of the general election.

I agree. He could possibly go too far with that "team of rivals" approach.

Her campaign was lousy. Why would he want her team?

Obama's 'team of rivals' is just like Gordon Brown's 'government of all the talents', the latter Brown's idea of reaching across the aisle to inlude other parties on his team. It's been a total flop.

Obama doesn't need a outreach person. He really doesn't.

The main group that angry at Clinton's departure are mainly middle-aged WHITE WOMEN. And even that's not the majority. Those claiming they are not going to vote for Obama are in the minority of Hillary female supporters.

I watching Dan Abrams yesterday and he pointed to a resent poll that showed Hillary supporters who supported Obama actually went UP when John McCain's abortion plans were revealed.

There is so much at stake in this election so for these middle-aged WHITE WOMEN to vote with McCain over Obama is irrsponsible. Here's what I mean:

Their generation was the one that fought for reproductive rights in gneral, and abortion rights in particular. And now John McCain has said he would appoint very conservative Justices to overturn ROE v. WADE? But forget that because Obama needs to pay for beating Hillary.

I get it. Their generation, which fought for affirmative action, is ready to see conservative justices come in and eradicate this program. In fact, affirmative action, according to government records and private indsutry reports, has mostly benefited WHITE WOMEN from its inception. This is not supposition, conjecture, or guesswork. Its fact. TITLE IX is an affirmative action case that Bush tried to eradicate in his first term, remember? But that doesn't matter because Obama needs to pay for defeating Hillary.

To vote for McCain, who you don't agee with (in order to punish Obama) is the height of electoral insanity.

SeanGardner....actually white women ARE a majority group in America! You may disagree with Women-Americans (of all races, colors and creeds!) but your foolish to think their voices don't matter. As for being a "minority voice" in this matter: minority voices are what the Democrat party is SUPPOSE to be about!!!! Since the DNC has clearly abandoned Women-Americans and particulary the woman running for President who was excessively dodged by sexism, why not go Republican this year? Or Independent? Personally...I'm voting for Nader. His stands on women's rights and gay rights are top notch! Now that's a real "change"...a President who clearly is part of the 2-party system and clearly not tied to "Washington-style politics" (to use Obama's catchphrase)!

I agree, Obama doesn't need the leftover sour grapes Clinton supporters. He has bent over backwards to please them, and I wouldn't do any more. I think he already has the bulk of them , and although therre will always be the stubborn ones who cannot be convinced to vote for Obama, by November, he'll have even more. My advice is let 'em go. We don't need them.

Yeah, let 'em go! Well, since the HRC supporters are the only ones left to try to convince to vote for him, why even campaign? O may as well close up shop and just wait until november.

Or maybe he's not as sure as you that he can win with a quarter of the democratic party sitting it out or voting for his opponent.

Where's the genius of Samantha Powers? What happened to our hero being a "change agent". Barack is now listening to people saying "OK, that was sure inspiring on how things are going to change, but really, you need to grow up now and follow our plans on getting you to the White House- greatly compromised." Tell me, if these lousy, lazy, stick-in-the-mud, compromising tactics have failed in the past- why in Martha Stewart's good name our they trying them now? Don't cry to me about Gore nor Kerry not winning because of corruption. They could have rode roughshod over those dirty votes with a landslide if the Democrats quit being "all things to all people". You are NOT going to reach some people no matter what you do or say. Some people are RAISED rethuglicon. Like snakes, their venom is just a potent when they're little reptiles as when they get bigger and become huge quivering mounds of fetid Gila monster (are you listening Karl, Rush?). Stand for the people. The center is the right.

Dang....why should we give the one with less experienced "a minute." We voted for the candidate who can think on her feet.....remember! The one with more experience! There's no time for "a minute" when you're running the most powerful country on the ENTIRE planet! I don't have "time" to wait for inspiration when I'm working my butt off every MINUTE just to put some gas in my car, maybe have a little for a doctor's visit and food on the table!

You must have missed the cnn poll over the weekend, which showed he has MORE of a problem with former HRC supporters now than he did when he clinched the nomination.

What utterly befuddles me are the people who think it's sour grapes. There is some of that, but -- and I can speak only for myself -- we preferred HRC for many reasons, not the least of which was experience. Obama doesn't have any (or very little at any rate). And don't tell me that it doesn't matter, because it does, at least to some of us. He STILL doesn't have the experience. And since the primaries be3gan, he's also shown us some other significant negatives, including an awkward speaking style (off the cuff, not scripted), a tendency to try to be all things to all people -- and therefore nothing to anyone, a tendency toward arrogance, a tendency toward lack of loyalty.

I sitll don't like him. At the moment, I'm a voter without a candidate. Don't know what I'm going to do...

But Obama does have a problem, and with more than just women, too.

Senator Clinton has great experience messing up health care, supporting Bush's war in Iraq, supporting the idea of military action against Iran, introducing a flag-burning amendment, voting against banning clusterbombs, supporting pharmacists who don't want to dispense birth control pills, not bothering to vote against telecom immunity the first time around, doing "bimbo" control in her husband's White House . . .

Whatever Obama's problem is with certain segments of voters, it doesn't seem to make a dent in his poll numbers. You can't please everyone all of the time.

Yeah, I'm sure Hillary's whole additional two years of experience in the Senate is a really big argument winner. Please quit deluding yourself - Hillary has very little more experience than Obama. To attempt to claim her time spent as first lady as legitimate experience is to argue that Laura Bush is as equally qualified.

I can't believe a Clinton supporter would chide Obama for "a tendency toward arrogance." I think that the Clintons, as well as their supporters, have the market cornered on arrogance, acting as though Hillary was somehow entitled to or owed the nomination.

Anyone who can be outgamed by someone so offensively inexperienced (as you would contend) doesn't deserve to win the nomination. Clinton was outmaneuvered at every turn, and that is not someone I want in the WH managing our nation.

So you'll consider McCain whose policies are directly opposed to HRC's or Obama's. And subject yourself to 4 more years of failed policy.

Well---that's logical.

Sorry to disagree. But every single woman I know, including myself, that supported her will not vote for him. We have all agreed to write in Senator Clinton's name on our ballots and support our state Dems. with our time and money. Yes...he DOES have a "woman problem". Just not from college age women such as yourself, new to the political arena and niave about the promises politicians make just to get your vote.

I am 57years young, consider myself a feminist, and also fervently support Obama with all my heart - as much, if not more, than anyone could have supported Hillary. If he had lost, I would have been devastated. I know that I would not be able to automatically, if ever, transfer my full loyalty and passion. But I also damn well know that I would do nothing by thought word or deed to help McCain get elected. And every supporter of Hillary who does not support Obama is doing just that - helping to elect McCain! Obama may not be your #1 choice, but to not support him is the same as supporting McCai, and that does something to our country that really is quite unforgivable.

My experience is the exact opposite. Every woman I know who supported her now supports him. And there are many women like myself, who once supported HRC but switched to Obama when we became disgusted with HRC's post-Super Tuesday campaign tactics. But I guess that my friends must just have more brains, understanding that a write-in for HRC will only help McCain and that all of the feminist ideals and political issues that they believe in will be in dire jeopardy.

And regarding politicians making promises just to get one's vote? Yeah, as a gay
