The Dish Rag recently caught up with Elizabeth Banks, who plays first lady Laura Bush in Oliver Stone's controversial new George W. Bush film, "W."

DR: What's the secret to playing a believable Republican first lady?

EB: "It's all about the hair. Hair speaks volumes about every politician's wife. And I think you'll be impressed with my version of Laura Bush's very Republican hair. I did meet Laura once, in 2003, long before I knew I'd be playing her."

I was watching "Breach" today. Kathleen Quinlan is the spitting image of Laura Bush in that movie. Would've been a much better choice. In that movie she plays a woman whose husband is traitor to the US. Gee is that what "W" is about?

Forget the "Republican hair" -- it seems Josh Brolin has got Boo$hie Republican arrogance down cold if that barroom fight story shows he instigated it.

Let me direct! I want the cold dead eyes with the Wednesday Adams psychotic smile. Give me Hannibal Lecter " I ate his liver with Fava beans and a nice Chianti" , " phsst, phssst, phssst" .

Now that's Laura Bush.

One more face lift and they will need to have E.T. perform a starring role in the movie.

Bush... phone home.

Oliver Stone has let his hatred of the administration get in the way of good judgment and seems set to make another loser. If preaching to the choir gets him off, fine. However, he's soon going to find it difficult to find anyone to back his films.

If you cannot handle the truth dont watch the movie. What do you think this is going to be? If Stone tells anything but the truth, then the movie would be unwatchable. He never has problems finding film backers.

Not a very good likeness --- lousy casting. Laura is a bit more on the "goofy looking" side , don't you think. Her choice in men proves it.

It would make no difference who plays her.....no one is interested. The day this people leave office will be one of the happiest in this country's history. All we want to do is get past these people and forget.

Neither the hair nor the smile looks like Laura.

Will it be al least partially about when Laura Bush ran a stop sign in November 1963 and rammed another car in the intersection driven by her boyfriend killing him instantly then being let go by the police without even a traffic sitation?
Look how the media have treated Teddy for Chappaquidick!

No, it's actually all all about the cracks in that shiny pharmaceutical sugary glaze.
The kind where you seem to be looking into opposite corners of the room at once.
And the bottom of your face doesn't quite match the expression at the top.

It's like those little horizontal strip image games we played with as kids where disparate elements made the picture.

I really don't think you can act that. --- you have to be dosed into it.

But I do think Lura Bush should get an Oscar for Aquiescent Animatronics.
The most depressing spectacle of Republican Womanhood ever.
