Iraq Soldier's Mother Talks About Son's Suicide (VIDEO)

A Veterans Affairs emailed leaked to the public reported that an estimated 1,000 suicides attempts per month were being reported at VA medical facilities by Veterans. After tours of duty in Iraq and earning countless awards, life went terribly wrong for Marine Corporal James Jenkins. In the aftermath of his suicide, Cynthia Fleming, his mother gives us a portrait of her oldest son.

As a Brit, I am staggered at the comments herein. Govenor Bush is clearly impeachable. He has lied to you and continues to do so. You have "In God we Trust" on your dollar bills. Not only are the rampant suicides being under-reported, but the many incidences of domestic violence, battery, and murder being committed by these traumatized returning soldiers who were indoctrinated to de-humanize "the enemy" only to find that they can't turn off the "kill switch" once they get home.
This horrible regime will have much to answer for, crimes against humanity only being the tip of the iceberg, and they call themselves "Christians"??

OMG this video is so very, very sad, my heart just broke for this Mother, and we all know there is so many stories just like this one, not even counting the horrible sites at these military hospitals with all our injured soldiers, with several missing parts of their bodies, its so very sad, and should never have happened to not one single soldier.
The last count I've heard about the ones that lost their lives was very close to 5,000 and many more injured for the rest of their lives, I just wonder if "OIL" was worth it to all these soldiers.
They sure can't say so one way or the other because they are still in the Military, so they can't use their "Freedom of Speech" against their Gov't how they really feel about this senseless War.
My prayers goes out to each and every one of them and their family's every single day.
May God Bless and Keep them, and someday maybe they can go home again.

What stood out most to me was that this young man was so trouble about taking lives and seeing lives taken. That along shows what a fine young man Ms Fleming was blessed with. So many young people kill over nonsense everyday in the intercity and show no remorse. I feel that God has forgiven this young man and has open his kingdom to Corporal Jenkins. as far as I'm concerned I'm at a loss to imagine what excuse any one in any position of legislative leadership might say to justify the ongoing nation building ( George Bush : " I will not Nation Build " ha! ) the suicides of the so many who are psycologically destroyed by realizing that they were duped ( the worst aspect of their PTSD---that they killed for *no* valid reason ) and the para and quads and brain injured and plain dead . How this can still be ongoing I cannot understand. How these men and women come home to inadequate support and medical care I cannot understand. Why we still tolerate it? I cannot understand.

One BIG reason for so many suicides is from the VACCINES soldiers are forced to take. They are FULL of mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde and aspertame... couple some or all of those with the immune modulation effects and/or live virus, and you have a cocktail for disaster in the human body. I don't know how many vaccines they are getting.. but just ONE is enough to trigger autism in suseptable individuals. Further, exposure to battlefield chemicals and depleted uranium (a heavy metal) gives you the makings of a real neurological toxic time bomb.

Vaccines--and Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Ativan, Valium, Ambien, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, ad infinitum. SSRIs are known to have side effects that include increased suicidal ideation, irritability, insomnia, nausea, akathisia intolerable restlessness), paranoia, hostility, aggression, nervousness . . . such that young adults (like soldiers) are advised NOT to take them.

And yet THIS is the best treatment we say we can give returning soldiers. We give them these things practically by the handful, don't do any followup, and send signals that say Take these and suck it up.

I say that's what's killing them. And I think the continued deaths of returning Iraq/Afghanistan soldiers is an overall positive for CheneyCo. They're no good to him anymore, so "hurry up and die and help decrease the excess population!"

It is sad ... but how many of these people would have committed suicide anyway (war or no war)? My wifes nephew committed suicide two weeks ago. He is not a veteran. Is his suicide Bush's fault too? Or was he one of the millions who cannot control their demons? Condolences to the family.
