Do Not Watch MSNBC

MSNBC has captured lots of the CNN audience because of Keith Olbermann. Now that MSNBC has captured the liberals from CNN they are now going after the conservative bigots that watch Fox. That is why the likes of Buchanan, Scarboriugh, and Tucker are getting so much air time. This is a programming decision made by NBC. And because it seems to be favorable to Hillary, please do not be fooled. As a a member of the broadcast media, I know what they are doing. They are trying to capture the white racist audience. I know that Hillary supporters are passionate about her campaign. However, please understand that MSNBC could care less about Hillary. They care about market share.

I used to watch Morning Joe and Hardball every day and enjoyed the variety of guests that were featured, but there has been a definite shift in the tone of both shows in recent weeks. I finally decided I could no longer watch either of them any longer when Pat Buchanan became the regular commentator on both of them. He is an unabashed bigot and to allow him to comment on any issue is insulting! And Joe Scarborough is an empty-suit whose misogynistic treatment of Mika alone is enough to make me throw things at the television, but his current regurgitation of Republican speaking points has finally driven me from that show entirely. It seems MSNBC has decided O'Reilly has the numbers and if they are to succeed in the ratings game, they will have to attract the Fox Network audience. Good luck with that! And in the mean time, they are driving away what loyal audience they may have had! I'll get my political commentary from the internet from now on!

MSNBC has reached a new low . Tonight on Race for the White House the whole first segment should have been called tow Hillaty to thwe finish line. Former newsman David Gregory was reduced to asking a highly inflamatory question comparing the remarks of Rev. Wright and Sen. Obamas reaction to them to a "white politician lisening to the KKK ' Gregory being the puppet for the question planted by a Clinton shill. Progressives let out a cheer when Tucker was canceled. What we didn't realize was that just meant he would quickly metastasize throughout the day. Silly us. Now there's no getting away from the MSNBC right-wing cadre in any day part (except Olbermann's show). The only redemption is that they have the formidable Rachel Maddow standing up to the likes of Scarborough and Buchannan instead of the hapless Alan Colmes.

You don't have to convince me. It's absolutely galling listening to a bigot like Buchanan pass judgement on Senator Obama. I mean this from a man who has declared that Mexicans will cause the fall of the American empire becausing they are dumbing down the country. This from a man who defends the confederate flag as a symbol of pride. This from a man who was loyal to a bigot like Nixon. Did he tender his resignation when he heard Nixon on countless occassions make racist and anti-Semitic remarks? NO!

I also find it galling to listen to Chris Matthews, Tim Russert and Joe Scarborough question what it means about Obama's character that he wouldn't disown his church when they sat by and listened to Don Imus' racism for years. Chris Matthews didn't protest from his pulpit. In fact, all three regularly appeared on the show and somtimes laughed along with the racists jokes. What does it say about them that they didn't use their influence to stop him?

BOY! Did you just hit the nail on the head. It is now 6:06 P.M. EST Thursday, March 20th and Joe Scarborough just stated a comment about Obama referring to his Grandmother being a typical white woman. Now Joe is introducing the racist comments of that statement. I agree with every word you have stated. I no longer watch MSNBC except for Keith at 8:00. Pat Buchanan has been a racist all of his life. Go back and listen to his speeches about Mexicans and blacks. He is pure "white trash". Joe and the rest of the pundents are creating this spectacle. Where is Don Imus when you need him...:) I am so sick of news on television now. They want a battle between HRC and Mr. "I can't remember" John McCain. Isn't this a great pair? One is approaching senility (?) and the other is starting to believe her own lies. AND......The news is going along with them. How in the heck do we get in touch with these folks to really express our opinions? I have written comments to MSNBC, CNN AND FOX and all I get back is a standardized e-mail that says we have millions to read. Thank you. I think what did it for me was having Pat Buchanan on every political show (besides Olbermann) the day after Obama's speech. I couldn't believe that producers thought he was the most appropriate person to be the point person on this issue. How did Buchanan get to be an expert on race issues? Every show? I just turned the TV off. (When my husband would turn it on and MSNBC was the channel the TV started on, Buchanan was always on. It was like an invasion or something.)

And Joe Scarborough, he's an embarrassment, so intellectually vacuous and uncurious---both these men were wetting their pants only a month ago over Obama....when they realized what they were doing, they began attacking him. They want HRC to run against McCain. And David Gregory? I thought he was a smart guy and was looking forward to his new show...but the format is ridiculous, and look at people on his panel: Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan....OY! .The only smart person on Gregory's show is Rachel Maddow.

And now we come to find out that the person who outed the Wright video is a McCain staffer......and McCain just fired him.

Matthews hasn't been so bad thus far. The others (Tucker, Scarborough, Buchanan) have been miserable.

And where is Rachel Maddaw lately? She used to be on almost nightly. Now she is hardly seen.

That's why the media was "selling" the war years ago. Not because (as the left likes to say) they were in bed with the administration,but for ratings. At that time 70-80% of Americans were for the war.

Pat B. was in a minority of conservatives, he was against the war. Tucker (who has had his show taken away) was also against the war.

I happen to think Pat B. is a racist (after some of the things I've heard him say) but how MSNBC thinks they can get that audience when their conservatives are against the war, and thus the President, is beyond me. Please explain more.

maybe you haven't noticed, but KO has also swallowed the kool-aid. He and his guests are clearly anti-Clinton and extremely pro Obama. I'm a liberal progressive who finds himself watching Fox more often for some degree of objectivity. Even Karl Rove and that immoral runt Dick Morris opperate on a more analytical basis, which is why they were so effective in implementing heartless, corrupt policies.

How you can be so cruel to our Corporate Masters is beyond me. I personally believe that our Corporate Masters have our best interests at heart. They create war to entertain us, they raise gas prices to keep us at home with our families, they raise food prices so we will lose weight. Face it, they REALLY DO CARE. Yes, the siren songs of Pat Buchanan and Joe "Scarboriugh" are just impossible for a thinking liberal to resist. Their acid wit and profound insight will truly poison the mind of anyone who ventures towards MSNBC before or after the 8:00 hour.
As for how the network "could care less" about Hillary ... well, I'll think about that one? Maybe.
