Rove: Democrats Still Weak On Security

Wall Street Journal   |  Karl Rove   |   March 21, 2008 09:57 AM

One out of five is not a majority. Democrats should keep that simple fact of political life in mind as they pursue the White House.

For a party whose presidential candidates pledge they'll remove U.S. troops from Iraq immediately upon taking office -- without regard to conditions on the ground or the consequences to America's security -- a late February Gallup Poll was bad news. The Obama/Clinton vow to pull out of Iraq immediately appears to be the position of less than one-fifth of the voters.

Rove knows his big lies and bluster can't hide their incompetence and greed. Bin Forgotten has been working on schemes for six years after 911. For all we know he's having a great time partying in some Saudi palace and this schlubb thinks his guys kept us safe. One thing we know . His guys got a lot richer while Bin Laden runs loose.

Looks like the Wall Street Journal has continued its practice of giving a platform to war criminals.

Wait a second, wasn't that a republic president and repulican-controlled congress sitting like deer in the headlights on 9/11? Tell me again Karl how the Republicans are going to protect me. I must be missing something.

Hey Rove please crawl back under that slimy rock in Texas on Bush's ranch, you vial pig.

Rove on Security is like Kristol on Diplomacy. Rove brought a functioning illiterate to the WH, who then brought 9-11 onto NYC. I wouldn't dare read his crap.

Mr. Rove, that ploy worked in 2000, 2002 and 2004. It started to get significantly weaker in 2006. Now that dog plain won't hunt. Go try your scare tactics somewhere else.

Rove: "Democrats Still Weak On Security" - Rove was speaking from his padded cell.

Is there anyone that comes to mind in the Republican party left, that has a shred of credibility? They kicked out or marginalized the few who were still rational.

Karl Rove: Weak on humility, humanity, ethics, honesty, and telling the truth.

Why should anybody listen to him? He should be rotting in a cell wearing and Orange jumpsuit.

Karl--you had 5 years plus to find Osama Bin Laden to secure both Iraq and Afghanastan--
John McCain says if he becomes president we could be there another 50 - 100 years --
just because you repeat something over and over and over and over doesn't make it true.
We as Democrats will protect and defend our country--but for us defense doesn't mean endless war and occupation. We love our country and know that our security is built in strategic alliances, communication, well trained and motivated military who can count on our support in the field and when they return, and finally while we are known for cutting military spending we need to make contractors, manufacturers and our own specifications subject to accountability and cost savings without hurting the final product or compromising the safety of our military.
Karl, all you truly know how to do is play political games and dirty tricks--we as a country must go beyond that...

Didn't cheney recently comment (again) that they don't care what the American people think ?

Which is it ?

So the Republicans can hold up as their candidate the ancient mariner? He is smart enough not to finish dead last in his college class. The only thing he did well in the Navy was as a prisoner-of-war in the hands of our enemy. That's good experience for the leader of the "free" world. In Congress for the last quarter century he has annoyed most of his GOP collegues with his stands on campaign "reform" and immigration. Before Rove can pull the splinter from the Democratic eye he should yank the plank out of his own party's.

Does Karl Rove speak with integrity or is he still in Love with the "Big Lie" that was used by the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels? The right wing tries to wrap itself with the cloak of morality and responsibility and then do the exact opposite. The Bush/Cheney mis-administration, rubber stamped by the goose stepping GOP, the RNC and all of it's slithering brown-shirt swift boaters and the 'Poodle' journalists have created America's First Fascist/Nazi Reich. Will the architect for America's miserable failure please stand up and leave the stage? Valerie Plame has more character and integrity in her little finger than Karl Rove has in his entire hog body. Who in their right mind would hire and give this Fascist propagandist a forum. Where is your American honor, your principle and your values?

Better weak on security than weak on being a human being. though the former isn't true

This needs to be attacked directly by our Dem candidates.

Attacked and attacked hard, because it is the WSJ that is displaying this weasel's collumn, and all of America will take note at the counterpunch with much attention.

It's an opportunity to brand Rove for the shill that he is and show how he is so ridiculous. Who the hell is he to tell us what is secure after the disastrous foriegn policy he oversaw on this nation. It is absolutely ludicous.

What terrorists can expect from Dems is to be effectively hunted down and killed, end of story. Not waste trillions playing cowboy emperor all over the world.

Why is a paper like the Washington post giving a pathological liar like Karl Rove any air time whatsoever? This is a guy that in his lifetime shattered any journalistic quality measure that ever existed. Karl Rove should be forced to cite every word that comes out of his mouth so we can check it for accuracy. Actually forget it. There are enough people out there that distort the truth far less than he does, I'll just choose to ignore him.

So the great Karl Rove says Democrats are weak on security. Well Karl, let me remind you of some facts.

NYC, September 11, 2001

President of the U.S.: Republican
Governor of NY: Republican
Mayor of NYC: Republican
Majority of both houses of U.S. Congress: Republican

And you have the audacity to say Democrats are weak on security. Karl, as usual, you're just talking out of your ass.

I agree with Rove this time. If the dems. were more vigilant on security this entire administration would be at the Hague. They have almost destroyed the US, done more damage than the hijackers of 9.11 The world's most dangerous terrorists are in the repug. party. Rove would be better off keeping his mouth shut, and a low profile. It amazes me that he walks free after the damage he has done. A Traitor to the US.

"All Hail McCain!"
