Arabs keen to see the end of George W. Bush's presidency fear that a win for likely Republican candidate John McCain will bring little change to U.S. policies they blame for destabilizing the Middle East.

For Arab politicians who have gained from U.S. policy in countries including Iraq and Lebanon, continuity may be a good thing.

But Bush's many critics in the Arab world worry that McCain will continue current U.S. policies, which they fault for unleashing chaos in Iraq and providing unflinching support for Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians.

McCain will not only continue this war, but he will take it to Iran as well! And how much longer after that, will it be, before a national draft comes into being.....not long!

You are, of course, entirely correct. "It's not who vote that counts, it's who counts the votes." And that would be machines with no paper-trail, so John McCain wins and "he's our man, through and through." The guy who was tortured in a POW camp but now he thinks torture is okay. And he wins. And the war goes on and on and on, and we're booking $96,000 a second and Life Is Good. For us, I mean. Just cruise on for another nice eight years, maybe twelve and sixteen, and the war never ends and the money never stops until the nation drops over stone-dead but yee-haw, in the meantime Life is GOOD!
