The USDA also found that children get more expensive as they get older, with teens costing the most. Child-rearing costs have soared since USDA began conducting its annual study in 1960.

Another study showed that all the world's population could be put into the state of Texas with 1/4 acre for every man, woman and child.
It's the Republicans who have formed plans to decrease the population of the world, starting with Kissinger in the mid 1970's. The Italians figured this out years ago. The country that used to be known for its boisterous extended families is now becoming known for its contented couples with lots of disposable income to play with. When my father was born the U.S. population was just 150 million. When I was born it hadn't yet reached 200 million. Now that its over 300 million its time for people to rethink their priorities. Being 'selfishly' childless may be the only way to SAVE the planet!
